The ultimate characteristic of a great business model is one where you can achieve success by helping other people be successful. This is the ideal situation where you help others succeed, and the result is that you also succeed. This promotes teamwork, and everyone is positive and upbeat. Everyone is receiving benefits from everyone’s efforts. There is no striving to get ahead of the other guy in this model. There is no competition for a position that only one person or a limited number of people can fill; everyone WINS! In corporate America win/win situations seldom come around, and when they do you often have to differentiate yourself from your peers and maybe even step on some toes. You have to compete hard to stand out as the superior candidate for a promotion. It doesn’t benefit you if the other guy is promoted rather than you.
